Much has happened at Eight Treasures Yoga since my last post. Fela Adebiyi has come and taught three inspirational workshops at Eight Treasures. We are already working on scheduling his next visit to Oslo. For those of you who can’t wait that long You can keep an eye on Fela’s website: www.felayoga.com for his next Bali Retreat.

Michael Larsen taught a Yogic Arts Immersion Workshop at Eight Treasures this Past weekend. Yogic Arts is a powerful system of therapeutic Yoga developed by Duncan Wong, which draws on the healing wisdom of the Yogic, Thai Massage and Martial Arts Traditions to create a powerful method for healing and transformation. Michael is the Senior Yogic Arts teacher in Norway and one of Master Wong’s most senior students. If You are interested in Yogic Arts please see our schedule for Yogic Arts Flow and Yogic Arts Basics classes.

John taught a Journey Through the Chakras workshop which brought together Eastern and Western approaches to understanding stages of human development and spiritual growth. This workshop was so well received that we will be offering a follow up next month.

One of our Senior teachers, Lisa has returned to Oslo and is Teaching Yin Yoga Classes again. So we have many more Yin Yoga classes on our schedule just like You have been asking. If You are not familiar with Yin Yoga it gives the practitioner a chance to slow down and take their time exploring being present to themselves right here right now. Yin Yoga can make a great compliment to any Yoga practice or be the core of Your Yoga practice. This week Lisa and Hanne will be holding Yin Yoga classes so check our schedule for Your next opportunity to practice Yin Yoga.

This week we will have three new workshops offering three pathways to explore opening our hearts with Love and compassion.

Hanne will be leading us in Bhajans on Friday September 19th at 16:00. Singing and music provide one of the most direct pathways for us to get out of our own way and experience a direct abiding with our own capacity for deep Love and transcendent Compassion.

Christian will be teaching a 5 week Heart Opening Course which will start on Sunday September 21st at 16:00. This course will explore the inner and outer methods for opening the heart in safe and effective ways.

John will be teaching a Tong Len Meditation workshop on Sunday September 21st at 13:00. This workshop will explore various methods for cultivating a Loving and compassionate Heart for ourselves and others.

Of course we will be continuing to offer loads of classes by donation every week taught by our dedicated team of dedicated Eight Treasures Yoga Teachers. You can check our Schedule Page here.
