Line’s background is in martial arts (2. DAN black belt Shorin Ryu) and she has been practicing and teaching karate for more than 15 years. Line first encountered yoga in 2006 during her stay in Minneapolis where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in English and International Market Communications. She was immediately attracted to it, but it was not until taking a class at Eight Treasures Yoga with John Bentham in 2009 that she felt the powerful and therapeutic effects yoga can have.
Line completed her 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training with Basia Lipska in 2014. She has also participated in the Eight Treasures Teacher Training program with John Bentham studying the inner and outer practices of yoga, in addition to a 50 hour Yin Yang Yoga Teacher Training with Cecile Roubead and a 30 hour Basic Course in Yogic Arts with Master Duncan Wong. Line has also taken workshops by several other yoga teachers including Fela Adebiyi, Biff Mithoefer and Cameron Shayne.
Line started teaching yoga because she was amazed by how yoga transformed her life, and wants to help others have the same experience. She is so grateful for everything she has learned from her teachers and would like to pay it forward. Line´s teaching style is energetic, warm and playful creating an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
Line works as Head of Sales at Kristiania University College, and teaches yoga on the side. You can check out Line's blog yogajenta.no.
