Three Types of Change:
Horizontal
Oblique2. Oblique Change: Dominant thinking remains the same while incorporating some of the thinking from an adjacent system. This can be a shift to a subsequent, more complex cognitive rage of capacities or a reawakening of earlier cognitive capacities.
Vertical3. Vertical Change: Can be either a shift up to awaken new cognitive capacities which include and transcend the previous cognitive capacities. A new range of thinking and capacities are available or vertical change can be a shift down to a previous system of cognition where acquired capacities are abandoned due to internal or external incongruence.
