Christian AndvigAs a young child Christian was interested in his mysterious grandfather who was incredibly devoted to his spiritual practice. Turning into a teenager he tried to find the meaning of life through different channels of information, but nothing really satisfied him before he met the teachings of emptiness through tibetan buddhism at Eight Treasures Yoga. He fell in love with the teachings that combined the physical practice of asana with the yoga philosophy. At this time Christian had been traveling, studying economics and was currently (2012) working in Oslo as a carpenter apprentice. After his encounter with yoga in 2012 he instantly quit his job and devoted his life from that moment on, to his yoga practice. He found for the first time a system and a practice which served the happiness and freedom for all beings. Shortly after his practice began he was encouraged to teach classes of Tibetan Heart Yoga and have been teaching ever since. Christian did his first official 200 hour teacher training in Sadhana Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga mixed with shamanic and yoga philosophy, in Guatemala. He then took a yin yoga teacher training with Cecile Roubaud for 80 hours, and have 130 hours of Yogic Arts teacher training with Master Duncan Wong. He recently finished a 200hr teacher training with his Teacher – John Bentham, who has kindly given Christian help with yoga and life since he came to Eight Treasures Yoga.
